Massages involve powerful strokes and firm kneading to treat stress in body muscle. 
Body Massage Massages are considered complementary health treatment that can be used with or without any conventional treatment. Massages are used to treat several medical conditions and situations. Several studies have shown that massages are an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension. Although, more research is needed to back the benefits of the massage in Dubai, some studies have proved conditions where massages are found effective, such as:

  • They can treat anxiety, chronic stress and acute depression.
  • They can treat the digestive disorder, (a prime cause of several health issues).
  • Fibromyalgia can be treated completely using deep tissue massage.
  • Severe headaches and migraines can also be treated with regular massages.
  • Insomnia and sleep deprivation is often caused by stress and with the help of massage it is possible to reduce stress levels.
  • Consistent movement or injury can cause Paresthesias and nerve pain and with the help massages it is now possible to release tension in muscles.
  • Massages especially Swedish massage can treat sports injuries and strains.

Beyond these benefits of massages, many people enjoy massage session because they relax their stressed muscles and rejuvenate their body and mind. However, massages are alternate therapy; however, they cannot replace medical treatment, so it is good to use them as a health booster but not as a medical treatment.

Problems with massages:


Massages are proved as a healthy activity, but only when it is applied by a massage therapist who is trained and skilled. Many people prefer visiting massage centers without knowing their skill and qualification, and often suffer from many issues. It is really important to share health condition with a massage therapist and ask them what kind of massage will suit them. There are several conditions where massages cannot suit and can cause more damage than good, such as:

  • When you are suffering from blood disorders or taking blood- thinning medications.
  • When you are suffering from burns, cuts or healing wounds.
  • During deep vein thrombosis, massages should be avoided.
  • When you have fractures, it is advised to not use massages.
  • Severe osteoporosis because kneading can damage the delicate bones.

During pregnancy, it is really important to discuss with your doctor, whether you should or not opt for massages. Also, if you are a cancer patient, do not visit massage centers without discussing with your doctor. There are some conditions, where you will feel sore the next day, it is because of powerful strokes, but remember soreness would last for few hours and leave your body in the healthy state. However, there are some rare medical conditions when massages should be discontinued immediately, such as:

  • If there is internal bleeding.
  • Never damage or temporary paralysis occurred.
  • The Body reacted to massage oils or lotions.

Massages are always considered healthy and have no health issue, but only when they are applied correctly – remember that not everyone can apply a good massage, so beware from seasonal therapists.
